Roster

Students → Manage Students — profiles (name, optional student ID, optional DOB/gender for transcript mastheads) and CSV import. Then year-enroll under Years → Enrollments.

Yearly grades

Students → Grades — unit grades for the selected year; print report cards; Import unit grades from CSV (year enrollment required; missing course enrollments are created). Skipped units use Grade SKIP. See Import unit grades.

Common questions

What if I delete a student?

Deletion removes the student and cascades related data (enrollments, attendance, grades tied to that student, etc.). Prefer archive/inactive practices when you only need to hide someone from active lists—if your workflow supports it—or export records first. Contact customer support for details on recovery after accidental delete.

Student ID, DOB, and gender—where do they show?

Student ID can appear on school documents including report cards. DOB and gender are treated as PII for transcript and permanent record headers only, not everyday grade screens.

Transcript empty but Grades has units?

Transcript emphasizes credit-bearing completed work across years. Units need to be locked with credit where applicable; manual entries and no-grade credit also feed the transcript. Check year enrollment history and credit on the course.

Diploma on the transcript

Issue a diploma on the student edit form (Graduation tab). That copies the level’s title and required credits onto the student so later catalog edits do not change the transcript. Replace or revoke there if you need to. See Graduation & projections.

Why can’t a teacher see this student?

Grade-level limits on the user, missing year enrollment, or wrong school year selected in the header.
