Guided setup wizard

Use the in-app setup flow at /setup to configure categories, patterns, courses, students, years, and enrollments in order.

The guided wizard at /setup walks a new school through the same order of operations documented elsewhere, with a progress indicator and a Next button that validates each step before continuing.

Steps

  1. Course categories Create at least one category before continuing.
  2. Unit test patterns Generate defaults or create a custom pattern.
  3. Courses Add at least one graded course with units.
  4. No-grade courses (labs) Optional—you may continue without any.
  5. Students Add at least one student.
  6. School year Create a year with terms.
  7. Year enrollments Enroll students in the year.
  8. Course enrollments Enroll students in graded courses.
  9. No-grade enrollments Optional.
  10. Complete Jump into Record → Test Scores to enter grades.

Validation

If you click Next too early, the wizard warns you to finish the current page. You can jump back to earlier completed steps via the progress dots. Close the wizard anytime to work in the full app navigation.
